Woo Hoo!

I found a source for all but one of the missing Myth Adventures books! Of course, it is the website for a store that always has a huge booth at Comic Con, but hey, for all I know they didn’t bring those issues with them.

    1. Well, I used the term “books” loosely. I mentioned these in an earlier post, and they’re the comic book adaptations of the first two Robert Asprin Myth books, the first being adapted by the talented Phil Foglio. Myth Adventures covers eight issues adapting Another Fine Myth and four more with an original story. Myth Conceptions is an eight-issue adaptation of the second book.

The first eight issues of Myth Adventures were colored and collected in a pair of graphic novels. (All the original comics were black and white.) These are, of course, out of print. The first of these is easy to find. You can get it reasonably priced on Amazon’s used book network, and it shows up regularly on eBay.

It’s book two that’s basically impossible to find, unless you’re willing to spend at least $50 (which I’m not).

I picked up the entire Myth Conceptions series a few months ago, along with three of the four-part original Myth Adventures story. That left Myth Adventures book two and issue #11.

What I found yesterday was a store that had (among others) issues #5,6,8 and 11 for a reasonable price. So I’ll have the entire original story, and almost all of the first novel (even if the second half is black and white).
