Don’t download this song… TO YOUR BRAIN!

I’ve got Weird Al’s “Don’t Download This Song” stuck in my head. It keeps turning into “This is the Moment” from Jekyll and Hyde, with the occasional foray into (believe it or not) “Bui Doi” from Miss Saigon.

  1. Do you have his White and Nerdy collection? I was wondering if there were any other songs worth hearing on the ablum.

    1. You mean Straight Outta Lynwood? We picked it up last week. It’s an improvement over Poodle Hat, which I thought was disappointing. I’ve only listened through it once, but “Don’t Download…” and “Virus Alert” are good. “I’ll Sue Ya” and “Canadian Idiot” are worth listening to. And then there’s “Weasel Stomping Day.”

There’s also “You’re Pitiful,” which is only available online because while James Blunt gave his permission, his record company complained. That one’s definitely worth picking up (in crisp, pure MP3).

The album is on dual disc (one site CD and one side DVD) so it’s a little more expensive than it might otherwise be, but the DVD side has six videos plus a recording studio montage.
